Pop-ups. Pop culture. Pop — as in the soda. We're rolling through dispensaries up and down the coast serving up the internet's favorite drink trend, one custom-mixed soda at a time.
So, what actually is a "dirty soda?"
If you've been anywhere near TikTok this year, you've seen it: a fountain soda that's been dressed up with a splash of cream, a pump (or five) of flavored syrup, and usually something fun dropped in for good measure. It started as a regional favorite out of Utah's custom soda shops, where the drink became a go-to alternative for people who wanted something fun and flavorful without coffee, tea, or alcohol in the mix. From there, it went the way most great things do now — it hit social media, and it never slowed down.
Searches for "dirty soda" have exploded over the last year, and the big beverage brands have noticed. Mountain Dew, Dr Pepper, and a handful of other household names have all launched their own "dirty" versions in 2026, chasing a trend that's mostly been driven by Gen Z and millennial creators mixing up their own versions and sharing them online. It's playful, it's endlessly customizable, and honestly, it's just fun to drink.
The basic formula
- The base — any carbonated soda (think cola, citrus, or root beer)
- The dirt — a splash of cream, half-and-half, or coffee creamer
- The flavor — a flavored syrup, usually fruity or dessert-inspired
- The finish — fresh fruit, purée, or a fun mix-in on top

The Dirty Pop Soda Tour kicked off in NorCal, hitting dispensaries up and down the region — and it's already rolling. Now we're pushing into the Central Valley and Southern California as Left Coast expands south, with New York dates on the way too. This is just the beginning, so keep checking back for new stops.
